The Truth and Realities of E-Learning
Despite some major hiccups, the ASTD 2014 International Conference and Exposition was exhausting and intriguing. E-Learning offerings were up and it appeared attendance was too. I strongly recommend having a booth at the event next year, if you are an e-learning vendor.

Okay, the first day of ASTD TK13 has wrapped up – at least from the expo side of the house.
The ASTD International Trade Show Expo wrapped up this week, and it had everything. From very cool products to higher interest in e-learning to great lead gen for vendors. However, it also struck out in numerous ways.
TechKnowledge 2012 offered a little something for everyone, with some cool products and equally lame products. Surprises abounded and yet, ASTD TK12 stil failed at a few levels, which was baffling, especially for the number of times this show has been offered.
The trade show circuit has begun and now is the time to come up with a game plan. Always remember that a trade show is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get.
With TechKnowledge 2011 right around the corner, a listing of products that will have mini-reviews posted on my Linkedin Group, full reviews posted on my blog and some quick comments on e-learning trade shows.
LMSs will survive for years to come, but they must change, they must invigorate and innovate. With the number of vendors in the market, those that stand like stone or run in a wheel like a mouse, will watch their competitors race past them to garner a larger share of the market – the global market.
