Pricing for Up and Coming LMS Providers

I know what you are thinking, those providers he mentioned must be expensive, but guess what..they aren’t. I want to stress that I selected these vendors as up and coming, not based on any revenue cycle nor any compensation from them. I AM NOT RECEIVING ANY COMPENSATION FROM THESE VENDORS.  All pricing is in USD.

Pricing – as provided to me by the vendors (as of 3-30-2010)

Topyx LMS :  $12,000 for the full enterprise version (very robust), tech support and implementation, or $6,000 for a lite version of the system, unlimited users.

Inquisiq R3:  Perpetual license – for unlimited users is a onetime fee of $9,500, or $7,500 for up to 1000 users

• Hosted: Maintenance and support, either license,  $1,850/year
• To host on their servers $400 per month for hosting

For smaller number of users, say 50 users – pricing starts at $200 a month, plus the $400 per month – hosted on their servers; everything include (license, hosting, maintenance and support).  Just pay each month for number of registered users in account.

Upside LMS: Pricing is based on what package you want to purchase – for the full blown Enterprise edition – which comes with all the social modules and is hosted on their servers $20,000 for a 3 year contract  PLUS $10 to $30 per user (based on number of users, pricing goes down for more users).  Technical Support and Maintenance is included.

• Enterprise Edition hosted on your servers i.e. at your company –  $30,000 for a three year contract, PLUS $10 to $30 per user (based on number of users, pricing goes down for more users). Technical Support and Maintenance included for the first year.  Maintenance for years 2 and 3 is a yearly fee of $4,500.

• For a 5 year contract for Enterprise – it is a perpetual license and a one time fee of $75,000 to $100,000, unlimited users, Maintenance fees per annum would be $5,000 to $10,000 users, depending on number of users, pricing may go down for more users.  Hosting fees are not included in this pricing, and would be separate.

• They offer a “pay as you go model” for contracts less than 3 years.

Absorb Anywhere:  Hosted on their servers. Pricing is based on the number of users and starts at  $800 per month up to 100 users Or there is a one-year pre-pay for $8,640.Branding is included.  Setup fee including training and support $3,500.

If you want APIs for payroll, HRIS, SOS, etc. for it is $2,500 per API. No additional charge for hosting on their servers.

• For 25,001 to 50,000 users the pricing is $9,750 per month or pre-pay for a year at $105,300. Branding included. Setup fee including training and support is $5,000. If you want APIs for payroll, HRIS, SOS, etc. for it is $2,500 per API.

• Pricing for having the system on your servers is available. Please contact the vendor as the pricing is different than above.
  

Outstart Training Edge:  Pricing is based on the number of users and hosted option.  Let’s say you have approximately 500 users – The price would be $10,300 on a client hosted server (at your location).   To have the end users on OutStart’s hosted environment (i.e. on their servers) the price would be $30,000.   There is also a one-time setup fee of $3,000, regardless of you choose having the system on your site or hosted on their servers.   They do offer pricing discounts for large groups, and additional price options for other services.
